The Golden Rule

In life's moments do you ever find it hard to live by "The Golden Rule"? I believe we all do at one point in time. But we have that small voice in side us, that when we step out of the boundaries of  The Golden Rule that will tell us, if we are listening to it, no, no, no. That is when we have to make a choice. Do we make the correction and step back into the "The Golden Rule" or do we keep that one foot out there in the world. I have stepped out of the boundary many times. Sometimes it's hard to "do un to others as you would have them do un to you." But I believe when we do treat people the way we would like to be treated, it give us a sense of peace. Would you whether have that peace then the uneasiest and bitternest that it gives us when we are outside the rule.

Being a good honest christian, is never easy. We live in a world that is full of dishonesty and evil. But God gave us a free will. We can either try to live the best life we know and treat people with kindest and forgiveness, even if they don't respond the same way. Or we can keep that foot or maybe both feet in the world and lose all the God wants to give us.

I would much rather have my life be lend by him then the world. Even though I know I have to live in the world, I don't have to be of the world.

So friends, make your mind up. Are you going to live for God and receive all the Blessing he has to give you, or do you want what the world has to offer you? Think about the decision you make, pray on it.

There are two links I go to for inspiration. On is a woman who I love her why of teaching the bible. Her name is Joyce Meyers. She has a no holds bar way of teaching, a tell it like it is. She tells you how to take the Bible principals and apply them to every day life. You can check her out at www.joycemeyer.org. The other is a former pastor who decided to take on public speaking to companies and teach on the christian attitude. His name is John Maxwell and you can look him up at www.johnmaxwell.com he has some excellent books on growth.

One more item. Joyce Meyer has a daily devotions out called "Trusting God day by day", it is really enjoyable and lifts me up everyday. For example her tip bit for today was "Trust in him, think about a situation in your life you can't do anyting about. Say from your heart, "I trust God and believe this will work out for my good," Now let it go and let God work."

Well friend until the next "Life Moments" have a Blessed Day!
